Get ready for our first-ever Play-and-Sing-a-thon! This event is a joyful, all-day music event inspired by the classic fun-run style fundraiser.
LJS&C musicians, students, alumni, and community friends will take turns playing music throughout the day. Every tune, beat, and burst of musical creativity helps fuel the La Jolla Symphony & Chorus mission to inspire, educate, and connect through great music.
The event will culminate in a group sing-a-long featuring favorites from the Great American Songbook, led by David and Elisabeth Leatherberry. This community sing-a-along will be followed by a champagne toast from 7-8 p.m. Admission is free and open to all.

HOW TO PERFORM
Calling all vocalists and instrumentalists! Sign up to perform.
We’re hosting an all-day musical marathon fundraiser! Think fun-run style, but we’re making music instead of running laps. All styles and ensemble types are welcome, so feel free to get creative or perform something you usually wouldn’t have the chance to. Sign up ASAP so you can get your preferred time slot!
After you sign up, you can create your fundraising page and encourage friends and family to donate in support of your musical performance.

GETTING THERE
Parking:
Ample parking will be available at Gilman Parking Structure, directly across from the Conrad Prebys Music Center building. Any spot marked V, A, and B in the entire structure is valid to park in on weekends.
Trolley:
Take the Blue Line trolley to the UCSD Central Campus Station, and follow the concrete pathway (Rupertus Lane) westbound until you reach the Conrad Prebys Music Center.”

Approaching UC San Diego from the SOUTH
From I-5 going North to the UCSD campus:
Take exit 28B for LA JOLLA VILLAGE DR
Turn LEFT onto LA JOLLA VILLAGE DR
Second light, turn RIGHT onto VILLA LA JOLLA DR, the first campus entrance, following signs to UC San Diego and the VA Hospital. (get in left lane as you go up the hill)
Go straight through the first light.
Villa La Jolla Drive will “T” into Gilman Drive.
Go straight into the parking structure and park.

From I-5 going South to the UCSD campus:
Take exit 28 for LA JOLLA VILLAGE DR
Turn RIGHT onto LA JOLLA VILLAGE DR
Take first RIGHT onto VILLA LA JOLLA DR (get in left lane as you go up the hill)
Go straight through the first light.
