Directions to the Scholars Parking Structure in the North Torrey Pines Learning and Living Neighborhood and then to Mandeville Auditorium

(Please note that UCSD maps use “Scholars Drive South” and “Scholars Drive North,” while other maps use “N Scholars Drive” and “S Scholars Drive” for the same streets.)

Driving North on I-5:

Exit West at La Jolla Village Drive.

Continue driving West until the street becomes North Torrey Pines Road and turns North.

At the stoplight at the intersection with La Jolla Shores Drive, turn right (East) onto La Jolla Shores Drive for only about 160 feet until it ends at Scholars Drive South. Immediately turn left (North) onto Scholars Drive South.

Proceed until the street bears right (East) and becomes Muir Lane. Continue East past the intersection with Scholars Drive North and you will see the south entrance to the Scholars Parking Structure on your left. (Note that the sign gives the address as 9655 Scholars Drive North, although you are entering from Muir Lane.) Turn Left into the parking structure, which has several levels underground.

After parking, walk east on Muir Lane until you see the Ridge Walk on your right. Then walk South on Ridge Walk, turning East to take the path (Rupertus Lane) over to the Sun God statue by Niki de Saint Phalle, and then South, across Mandeville Loop, to the auditorium entrance at the East end of Mandeville Center.

The walking distance is approximately 1,300 feet from the Scholars Parking Structure to the Auditorium.

Driving South on I-5:

Exit West at Genesee Avenue.

Turn left (South) at the intersection with North Torrey Pines Road. Continue South on North Torrey Pines Road and turn left (East) at the stoplight onto Muir College Drive. Continue East across Scholars Drive North to the north entrance of the Scholars Parking Structure on your right. (Note that the sign gives the address as 9655 Scholars Drive North, although you are entering from Muir College Drive.) The parking structure has several levels underground. It is simpler if you park toward the South side of the structure (you came in on the North side) since you will want to walk out of the structure on the South side, onto Muir Lane.

After parking, walk left (East) on Muir Lane until you see the Ridge Walk on your right.

From the La Jolla Village area

Drive North on Torrey Pines Road and turn left at the intersection with La Jolla Village Drive where it becomes North Torrey Pines Road.

To go to the south entrance to the Scholars Parking Structure, which is recommended, turn right (East) at the stoplight at the intersection with La Jolla Shores Drive. Drive for only about 160 feet until La Jolla Shores Drive ends at Scholars Drive South, and immediately turn left (North) onto Scholars Drive South.

After parking, walk left (East) on Muir Lane until you see the Ridge Walk on your right.

Alternatively, to go to the north entrance to the Scholars Parking Structure, continue on North Torrey Pines Road past the intersection with La Jolla Shores Drive to the stoplight at Muir College Drive. Turn right (East) and continue on Muir College Drive to the north entrance to the Parking Structure, which will be on your right as the road ends. Park at the southerly side of the structure, since you will want to exit there to walk East on Muir Lane (see above walking directions).
