
The Rochelle Kline-Casey Flute Scholarship
The late longtime patron, supporter, and flutist Rochelle Kline-Casey has donated flutes to La Jolla Symphony & Chorus, to be loaned and used by young, emerging flute players.
Selected candidates will receive an indefinite loan of one of the available instruments:
- Professional Abell African Blackwood with sterling silver mechanism Flute, with B and C footjoints
- Upper Intermediate/Professional Powell PS-750 Sonare Piccolo
- Student Gemeinhardt Elkhardt, Ind. M2 Flute
Qualifications:
- The candidate must be under 35 years of age at the time of the application.
- The candidate must be residing in San Diego county.
- Teachers may submit on behalf of their student/their studio for the Gemeinhardt flute.
- You may submit the application and request multiple instruments, though if considered, you may only receive one.
- If considered for the Abell flute, the recipient must have the instrument insured.
- The recipients must agree to basic maintenance and repairs of the instruments.
